What is the best way to introduce a new service for local businesses?
About three weeks ago, I sent a postcard several local businesses expressing that I communicate with them shortly to discuss the details of this service and explain the benefits for themselves and their customers. What is the best approach to schedule an appointment (by phone)?
First, since you sent a few cards that I assume pre-qualified firms that could benefit from your services. Before calling the review that you sent to. What are the benefits you believe that your service offering and will it solve the problems your customers and clients? Secondly, make a written list or outline of key reasons why these companies want to meet you to hear more about what you have to offer. Try to work up a powerful things you can say that people interested in you see right away. Thirdly, do you know the names, titles and job function key decision makers in each company, and that is that your postcards addressed by name? Otherwise, when you call the company you have to sound professional (and friendly, and Nice) is sufficient to one who answers the phone, so they head to the right person to contact you. Otherwise, you will be told: "Just send something in e-mail and we'll call if we are interested. "Try to anticipate and avoid. Smile while you talk, it makes a huge difference! Fourth, when you call, no matter who answers the phone Start the conversation with something like: "Hi, this is (Your name) with (your company), and who am I speaking? "If you do not know the name of whom you spoke, how do you know who to ask (or at avoid) the next time you call? So when you ask, and the person who answered the phone said his name was "Stephanie", then you should follow up by saying: "How are today something, Stephanie?" And you should let it respond to Stephanie. If you just try to jump receptionists or "guards" rarely succeed. But if you're nice to them, they will help and guide you to the right person. Fifth, because it has been three weeks since they were sent and that you have sent so little, try calling a few businesses that you do not mail and warm-up your skills with them. When they tell you they do not remember to get the mail and again, some say something like, "I have two other events in your neighborhood go up faster than I can get this in the mail, let me go and see you the same time. I can be there tomorrow morning at 10:30 or after 12:00 to 2:30 PM. What would be best for you, morning or afternoon? "Sixth, shut up and listen. Learn what you hear. Then you're ready for "reality"! Good luck!
