business magazines free

business magazines free
What should I consider and think about if I start up a business from home?

I was thinking of starting a magazine for older women.

I’m not expecting it to go world wide but would love to make a few hundred off of it.

I was thinking of a site where part of it’s free and part you have to pay for, how should I go about this.

I’d also love to use modles, how do i go about that.

Any and all advice will be much appreciated
The age group would 45+

I don’t work, I’m a disabled vet and get about 1,000 to spend on this a month

I did want this to be all internet based and maybe the option of a real mag to be sent later on.

should I try to take some business classes or should i be okay to jump in?

first off, consider your income. with you quitting your present job (would you have to?) to do this…do you have enough savings to live on?
2-speaking of savings, do you have enough to help start your business up? can you get loans?
3-have you done research on the rate of magazine sales? Just so you know, it has gone way down since the internet. Maybe consider doing it purely as a website? esp. with postage going up. You didn’t mention if its ONLY online or ? You can do part membership part free, you can reserve a webside on godaddy.com and remember if you are advertising and make this something big, you need more bandwith
4-to get MODELS, you can contact any modeling agency and a photographer. If you don’t need someone with that much experience, go to craigslist or put a local ad out
5-the information you will have on the site/magazine-how will you be getting it? make sure its all reliable and backs you up
