Texas Ficticious Name Registration?

I know this sounds silly…but where do I file a DBA to get my business name registered in Texas? Any related info is appreciated.

Yes, you file a form (which is provided to you at your local courthouse) and its a DBA form stating that you will be using that name for your business. You would go to another location for your tax id number but I believe that you have to have the DBA paperwork before you can get your tax id.
