Are there any body that regulates the companies that do title searches?
My mother went to a company to have a "Title Search "is a house she is selling. The company gave him the title search information for the wrong person (that a common name.) She did not know it was the wrong information / person after paying for the service. They gave him pay before envelope. She told them she was the wrong person, but they said that there was nothing they were willing to do for her. I think it is a way unethical to run a business. I want to report this case to the appropriate administrative or office (if one exists.) My mother lives in Ohio.
