Is it possible to ask for donations or investments in line to start a business reistered legal?

My company is a bar & grill. My company will respond to blue-collar workers near the Atlanta airport. My Bar & Grill will be like a "Cheers" bar a bit where everyone is treated like a VIP every time. My Bar & Grill will be like the "Walmart" Bar & Grill with our daily themes, and our drink specials every day. We will be the low cost 'Bar & Grill. My problem is …… my credit is terrible, therfore, I am not eligible for a bank loan. I'm looking for a private investor, but every so called investors and sites are full of scam. I have offered a place inside the target location, and I have a great business plan available for review. I'm really passionate about this project I sold all my belongings to raise capital (car, furniture, etc..) Does anyone seriously valuable tips on how I can increase the capital to start?
