Using a GMail account for business?

I want to use this a Gmail account for my website that will automatically use the GMail account to generate newsletters, welcome letters, advertisement and others from this account. My current email account is very limited with my host and was wondering if this would be a good option? I know that they also have a Biz Gmail account, but I just want to try the free first. Is this a good idea atleast I find a better email service and or make some money to do so. Also how do they handle SPAM just in case I have this issue?? Thanks

Gmail has possibly the best spam filter out of any e-mail system I’ve ever used.

Also, it’s awesome. Plus, if some reason you don’t like the web interface (though I’d have no idea why) they have POP3 and IMAP support, so you can use whatever e-mail client you like.
