Ideas for business name?
I am starting a wedding planning business and I need a name. Help! I have no idea what to call it. I was thinking of calling it Colorado Wedding Services but I think that may sound too generic. Some additional info about the business that may help: its a wedding only service (we don’t plan birthday parties , anniversary parties, etc.), located in Colorado Springs, CO but may want to expand into other areas, specialize in low budget weddings. Any suggestions?
You can call it whatever you want but realize you need to file it formally with your county. Be prepared to have 3 names ready for the business license in case one is taken. Also, see if the domain of .com is available and grab it before someone else does even if you don’t use it. Get your name of choice registered because if someone else comes along you may end up legally having to change your name. Protect yourself legally!!! Be creative but not corny when choosing your name. The beginning of the alphabet is best for listings in directories. Try to match your name with your mission… do you want to portray an image of luxury or discount or ???. Keep the name short but say what you do and then do what you say.
