small business laws and regulations
Starting a business in Northern Ca…?
After over a year and a half of thinking, my husband and I have officially decided we are going to start a business. We are going to open a small, local pet store. He has his masters degree in business administration/management and a minor in marketing, so we’ve got that covered and he knows a lot about the process.
However, he is working a lot right now while I stay home with our one year old and go to school. While I am home, I want to start doing some research on CA laws and regulations and requirements to start/run a business. I want to know about state/county codes, insurance, suppliers, taxes, etc… I just don’t know where to start or where to look. Is there any kind of “ABC-123″ website or class to help me get started? We are giving ourselves a couple of years to get everything together, but I want to start research right now. I’m not looking for a loan yet- that is still a very long time away. Any advice would help.
With this business you can be at home all the time with your little one. Good luck, Mimi Raak http://tinyurl.com/lnnl7c
