Straight Talk About Success In MLM
Have you made the decision to get started in multi-level marketing? If you’re new to all of this, you are now entering the bizarre and profitable world of online business opportunities. Key ingredient: Hard Work! This is something that you don’t often hear when you sign up to be part of a multi level marketing (MLM) business. A lot of them will promise you the moon while you’re laying on the white sand sipping umbrella drinks. But hopefully you know that’s not true. The MLM business is called a business because first, it is, secondly you’ll need to work at it if you want to see any results. We would like to share some useful and legitimate marketing methods that can help you in your business.
Get in the habit of following-up on every prospect and lead you receive. Always honor requests for time to consider the proposal when a lead mentions they need time to think. It’s fine to give them two days, roughly, to let them think before you talk to them again. Very many times the sale is successful because the seller had the initiative to follow-up with the prospect.
A lot of people will just think the prospect will contact them if they have a question, or to give an answer. In multi level marketing the ball is always in your court. Follow up to make sales!
Some will just not be motivated to work and succeed, so do not waste any more time than necessary with them. It’s a fact of MLM life that many people will sign-up, but when reality settles in, they drop out like nobody’s business.
It’s normal, lots think they can get by with letting others do all the hard work. Never give them any more time than you have to. When you see that in your own downline, then just walk away from them. People who want to succeed will be motivated and be willing to do work.
Be honest with every member you recruit for your down line. Never hype them with claims about outrageous earnings. Let them know very simply and clearly that they have to put the work in if they ever hope to get anywhere. People can easily become discouraged if the goals or expectations are artificially high. If the attrition rate is high, you’ll be constantly recruiting and doing nothing else. That’s why at least in this business, honesty is the best policy. Just one result will be they’ll appreciate you more and want to work hard for you. It’s normal to feel a little awkward or even intimidated when you’re just beginning. You probably signed up thinking you’d be making hundreds of dollars within a few hours. But as you know, it takes time and a lot of work. MLM really is exactly like other businesses that require work. The good news is that if you put in the time and effort you could eventually be earning the huge paychecks that were promised to you when you signed up!
